An Australian politician in the state of Victoria has heaped praise on the independent for their coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Catherine Cumming, an Independent member of Victoria's legislative council, shared her thoughts on the work done by independent journalists during a speech she gave at the Parliament House on Monday.
