Independent media's COVID coverage honoured by Australian state legislator
An Australian politician in the state of Victoria has heaped praise on the independent for their coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Catherine Cumming, an Independent member of Victoria's legislative council, shared her thoughts on the work done by independent journalists during a speech she gave at the Parliament House on Monday.
In this clip from a DAILY Livestream David Menzies and Sheila Gunn Reid took a look at what Cumming said, and compared how Australia has responded to outlets like Rebel News, in contrast to how Canadian media and politicians treat Rebel.
