Ontario's Liquor Control Board sells fancy property to move into another fancy property

The prime patch of Toronto lakefront real estate occupied by the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO) head office has been sold off by the province.

We’ll drink to that sort of fiscal responsibility anytime. But does this mean that Ontario’s booze bureaucrats will eventually be operating out of a low-cost industrial park located outside of Toronto?

No chance.

Apparently, they are entitled to their entitlements — and that means they’ll continue to run the province’s liquor monopoly while situated on... A prime patch of Toronto lakefront real estate.
