On this week's episode of Rebel Roundup, David Menzies was joined by new Rebel Chief Australian Correspondent Avi Yemini, to talk about his arrest at a Melbourne anti-lockdown protest, and the growing influence of totalitarianism throughout the Commonwealth.

The arrests of a pregnant mother, an ex-soldier and Avi himself led David to ask Avi, just what exactly is going on down in Australia? His response:

We're living in a police state here and it's scary to see how quickly your rights can be eroded and a police state, the people that are meant to serve and protect you, suddenly gain some new powers all in the name of, in the pretext, of fighting the virus, suddenly fighting their citizens.

And that's what we're seeing here right now.

And it is shocking, it is scary, because I've been to Hong Kong to cover those protests and I haven't seen that. A journalist, standing there doing a piece to camera, tackled to the ground, it's shocking.
