Reward offered for shooter of two Los Angeles Sheriff's deputies

Graphic images of two of Los Angeles Sheriff's deputies have surfaced following a cowardly ambush on Saturday night have been released to the public with approval of their families.

The deputies, a 31-year-old female and a 24-year-old male, both suffered serious gunshot wounds in the attack at about 7pm, by an as yet unidentified suspect who was only described as a “dark skinned male.”

The suspect approached the patrol vehicle with the deputies inside and fired multiple shots through the passenger window.

The female deputy applied a tourniquet to her wounded partner's arm as they took cover at a nearby building after the attack. It has been reported that she was shot twice in the jaw and the male deputy was shot in the head and arm.

Both were admitted to a nearby hospital and remain in critical condition.

“LASD & the families of the two ambushed deputies have given me permission to show this graphic photo of the moment after they were shot,” FOXLA journalist Bill Melugin tweeted.

“I’m told female deputy was shot through jaw, still radioed for help & applied tourniquet to male deputy’s wounds, both stable now." Melugin continued.

A reward of $100,000 has been put up for any information leading to the arrest of the shooter, with private citizens offering $75,000.

Sheriff Alex Villanueva has issued a challenge to LeBron James to match the reward money on the table for the arrest of the perpetrator who ambushed the two deputies.
