U.S. allies like Canada falling by the wayside as geopolitical tensions increase

On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Ezra discussed how U.S. allies like Canada and the U.K. are failing to support the U.S. during a time of need despite counting on it for their own defence.
U.S Secretary of State Marco Rubio recently condemned NATO countries in Europe for refusing to allow U.S. forces to launch operations from its bases in the region.
"If NATO's just about us defending them when they're attacked, but them denying us basing rights when we need them, that's not a very good arrangement, that's a hard one to stay engaged in," he said.
Ezra also commented on Canada's lack of willingness (or ability) to help the U.S. in its operations in the Middle East, including with opening the Strait of Hormuz.
"We had better pray that Marco Rubio and Donald Trump don't turn their attention to us, perhaps proportionately the biggest ingrates in the world towards the benefits of a trade and military friendship with America," he said.
As geopolitical tensions increase and Canada's relationship remains increasingly strained with the U.S., Carney appears more willing to cozy up to China than to help Canada's longstanding greatest trading and military partner.
