A recent piece of news published by the United Kingdom's Metro newspaper outlined the story of how Brent, a borough in London, would be hiring a group of COVID-enforcement officials, who are being give the ability to spy on potential rule-breakers.

The story reads:

The officers can conduct operations ‘covertly or overtly’ to ensure people are abiding by Government restrictions – such as the 10pm curfew and rule of six – aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus.

They can take part in plainclothes operations and use body-worn cameras and other kit to gather evidence against suspected rule flouters.

Unlike Covid marshals who use a lighter touch, they have the power to investigate alleged breaches.

Naturally, the story was just the perfect piece for Rebel News DAILY Livestream host Ezra Levant to rip into, given the outrageous overreach presented by the position, not to mention the job's financial compensation.
