The Democratic National Convention is at best, a cavalcade of characters.
This performance isn't even the weirdest part of the event, but it certainly is in the running. NBA and MLB players kneeling in the backdrop were seemingly an ode to the trials and tribulations of millionaire athletes, while kids holding signs pays homage to the time-tested tradition of the child protest.
In the land of pretend, where Instagram posts are a moral compass, we've reached peak lunacy, where Democrats indeed believe they're fighting for human rights and equality.
Here's how night two started: try not to pass out while you watch this. If the democrats were trying to make us feel like it's 1992, then mission accomplished.
Vice President Biden, with a confused look, begins looking at himself on an adjacent monitor like his seat was just called for a 50/50 draw at your local hockey rink. Flashes of 'random', definitely not re-used or pre-screened individuals flash on the screen, as Biden looks just as confused here as he did when kids sang a modified Backstreet Boys song in his honour earlier this year.
A new guest speaker appears; one who needs no introduction. The motivational, inspirational, and overall trustworthy President Bill Clinton.
Complaints of a failing economy and high unemployment rate rings a bell to mentions of past, where Democrats like Bill Maher wished for economic turmoil so long as it ousted President Trump.
Nonetheless, Clinton rambled on in a surprisingly short segment, airing on the same day as new photos of his expeditions with none other than Jeffrey Epstein surfaced. 'Would you mind giving it a crack?' Clinton is quoted as saying.
"Clinton, then 56, had complained of having a stiff neck after falling asleep on Epstein's notorious private jet while on a humanitarian trip with the pedophile to Africa in September of 2002"
'Humanitarian trip to Africa, with a pedophile.'
There are many things wrong with that statement, but not to the DNC. To them, two dozen trips on the "Lolita Express" and compromising photos with a sex trafficking victim matter not.
As smoothly as that video was played, onward and upward to Congresswoman and visionary, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC).
If you can sit through this lecture on 'Communist Uprising for Dummies', you should be truly commended.
The workers, the mass uprising, re-imagined systems, and other expenditures totalling in the trillions, that to some are radical and fiscally unattainable, but to AOC and her cohorts are achievable in less than 10 years, so long as the system is replaced with that of a communist utopia.
But what's most interesting in this was the ending where AOC nominates Bernie Sanders for President.
The media went into overdrive to make sure people knew that this was just a formality, but not before AOC had a bone to pick with NBC.
"This is completely unacceptable, disappointing, and appalling. The DNC shared the procedural purpose of my remarks to media WELL in advance. @NBC knew what was going to happen & that it was routine. How does a headline that malicious & misleading happen w/ that prior knowledge?"
One might be behooved to admit that 'fake news' exists in the his sphere, but one might also doubt that it ever rears its head pointed towards the other side of the political spectrum.
The DNC doesn't like AOC, they don't like Sanders, they don't like any of the other socialist Democrats for simple reasons.
The old guard are crooked business people, the new Democrats want the money of those 'fascists'. Will the DNC break apart if they lose this election?
Only time will tell, but rest assured that whether it's Joe Biden being confused or AOC dancing, it's going to be another terrible showing next time.
