We, the undersigned, call on the RCMP and CSIS to investigate Liberal MP Shaun Chen, the Liberal Party and any possible links to Chinese Communist Party influence.

Chen says injuries from a late-2025 car accident prevented him from travelling regularly to Ottawa and forced his resignation, yet publicly circulated WeChat posts reportedly place him in China twice in 2026 — including alongside broadcasters reportedly connected to the CCP’s propaganda apparatus and as part of an alleged “official business delegation.”

These reports do not themselves prove wrongdoing, but they raise urgent questions: Who organized and financed the trips, whom did Chen meet, in what capacity was he travelling, and what did Liberal officials know?

Canadians deserve an independent investigation that authenticates the evidence, follows the money and discloses as much of its findings as legally possible.

Resignation must not be allowed to prevent accountability or conceal foreign interference in Canada’s democratic institutions.
