Careless public servants cause closures after positive COVID-19 tests
In this clip from the Rebel News daily livestream, David Menzies and Sheila Gunn Reid discuss a ridiculous story that appeared in the Ottawa Citizen recently. Two government workers took it upon themselves to visit five bars in the Elgin Street area of Ottawa while awaiting COVID-19 tests, tests that wound up coming back positive for the virus.
After the positive cases were confirmed, five bars the pair visited were forced to close while awaiting tests of their own, costing the businesses potentially thousands of dollars in lost revenue.
The story served as the perfect foil for David and Sheila, who were flabbergasted at the reckless choices made by the same people who are likely to criticize the protesters of #YahooNation in Toronto.
