Ezra critiques National Post article about Rebel News at quarantine court
In this clip from Wednesday's livestream, Ezra Levant read through an article printed by the National Post about a recent court ruling on our attempt to spring two of our journalists — Head of Video Efron Monsanto and reporter Andrew Chapados — from quarantine jail after their return from covering a Trump rally in Michigan.
Here's a bit of what Ezra had to say about the editorializing in the article:
“The National Post is calling us ‘far right’. Maybe it was meant as a compliment. I mean, Rex Muprhy and Conrad Black — both of them ‘FAR RIGHT’ — are the best things about the National Post.”
As for the ruling itself, Ezra said:
“What irks me about the federal court ruling that I showed you is that the judge didn't say journalists are banned. Journalists are actually, bizarrely — called ‘essential services.’
“The judge said yes, some journalists are critically important, so absolutely essential that they have to be given permission to go back and forth and back and forth.”
