Alexa Lavoie went to Britain to investigate the migrant crisis firsthand

Rebel News reporter Alexa Lavoie has returned from the United Kingdom, where she travelled to communities on the front lines of Britain's growing fight over asylum accommodation and illegal immigration.

Her latest investigation takes us to Thetford and RAF Barnham, where the British government is seeking approval to use the former military site to accommodate as many as 1,250 single adult male asylum seekers.

Alexa joined residents protesting outside RAF Barnham and spoke directly with people who fear their small communities are being forced to absorb the consequences of Britain's immigration policies without being properly heard.

She also went into Thetford, where tensions over asylum accommodation have already boiled over, and spoke with residents about HMOs being used to house migrants, public safety, policing and what they believe will happen if the government continues expanding migrant accommodation into towns and villages across the country.

One protester warned that if the government refuses to listen, it could eventually have a "civil war on their hands."

Whether politicians agree with those fears or dismiss them, they are being expressed openly by people living in these communities. That's why Rebel News went there: to let residents speak for themselves and show you what is happening on the ground.

This page is the home for our continuing coverage of Britain's migrant crisis. You can watch Alexa's newest investigation above and find all of our UK Migrant Reports below.

Independent international reporting like this is expensive. We paid for Alexa's flights, accommodations, transportation and production expenses ourselves — without government funding.

If you value this kind of on-the-ground journalism, please help us cover the cost of this reporting mission and keep our journalists investigating the migrant crisis across Britain and Europe.
