Londoners sound off after alleged terror plot near U.S. bomber base

Rebel News hit the streets of London to hear what ordinary Brits think of the Fairford arrests and years of unchecked migration.

Rebel News journalist Alexa Lavoie was on the ground in London over the weekend after five men were arrested near RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, home to the American bombers the U.S. has been flying against Iran.

In the early hours of Sunday, three vans drove toward the base. The men were held first on suspicion of explosives offences, then on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act, and roughly 85 homes in a nearby village were evacuated.

Britain’s vast security apparatus did not stop it. By several accounts, a local woman driving home spotted masked men scrambling into a field and called police.

Officials have since offered the public almost nothing. All five are “British nationals” in their 20s, police say, with no names, no motive and no word on what was in the vans. A passport is not a biography, and the label says nothing about where the men were born, when they arrived or who they answer to. Prime Minister Andy Burnham’s advice to a country that just dodged a bomb plot next to an American air base was simply: don’t speculate.

The Londoners Alexa met in Leicester Square were not taking orders. Several asked why, if there was nothing to hide, the suspects’ histories were being hidden. Others pointed to years of small boats, undocumented young men and asylum hotels dropped on towns that never asked for them — and to the sneers aimed at anyone who objected. Some wondered how many more cells MI5 has yet to find.

One man noted the bitter irony: in a war, British-born citizens would face national service while illegal migrants in hotels would not.

Help us keep investigating Britain's migrant crisis

Alexa Lavoie is heading back to Britain to cover the rape gang protests and the prosecution of Danny Tommo.

Danny was arrested after cutting an empty migrant dinghy in the English Channel. He's pleaded not guilty to criminal damage, been refused bail, and faces a Crown Court hearing in Portsmouth. Meanwhile, ordinary Britons are taking to the streets to demand justice for the victims of the country's rape gangs. The British establishment media can't be trusted to tell the truth about either story.

Alexa will be outside the courthouse and at the protests, speaking directly with supporters, protesters, police and local residents to show you what's really happening on the ground.

Sending a journalist overseas isn't cheap. Flights, accommodations, local transportation and production costs quickly add up. And unlike the government-funded media, Rebel News relies on viewers like you to make this kind of independent reporting possible.
