In an interview on Fox News between Laura Ingraham and Donald Trump, the president directly addressed Black Lives Matter movement, calling it a “Marxist organization” that's “bad for black people.”
As reported by Disrn,
“Black Lives Matter is a Marxist organization,” [Trump] said during the Monday interview. “You remember 'pigs in a blanket, fry 'em like bacon.' That was the first time I ever heard of Black Lives Matter. I said that's a terrible name, it's so discriminatory. It's bad for black people. It's bad for everybody.”
After Joe Biden blamed the months of violent protests on Trump in a speech in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, local Republican chairman Samuel DeMarco responded:
“We have violent protests for 90-some days and now he's going to address it and try to blame Trump. Good luck with that.”
A recent wave of violence has struck Kenosha Wisconsin allegedly in defence of Jacob Blake, who was wanted on sexual assault charges when police shot him seven times during an altercation resulting from a domestic disturbance call.
Focus has since turned to the 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse, who has been charged with six criminal counts in relation to shootings during the riot resulted in the deaths of convicted child molester Joseph Rosenbaum and domestic abuser Anthony Huber.
Trump is scheduled to visit Kenosha today and has spoken in defence of Kyle.
The full interview was recorded on August 31st at the White House, and the first half was released on The Ingraham Angle last night. A second part of the interview will be released tonight.
