Help fight for freedom of religion for Canadian students!
Freedom of religion is a fundamental freedom in the Canadian Charter of Rights. We demand that those law societies that have succumbed to the ugly campaign of religious discrimination immediately rescind their bigoted rulings, and that other Canadian law societies welcome the TWU law students in the spirit of Canadian tolerance, pluralism and the freedom of religion guaranteed in our Constitution.
In their battle for religious freedom and the rights of Christian students, Trinity Western won a case in Nova Scotia but recently lost in Ontario.
Lawyer John Carpay of the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms represents TWU.
He explains how this is possible, how the Ontario judges misinterpreted the basic concept of "discrimination," and then speculates that the case will might go all the way to Canada's Supreme Court.
I think it's obvious that the Ontario court's decision was "purely political," motivated by ideology rather than the law. Can you imagine if Jewish or Muslim law school students were the ones being singled out by the courts?
The Rebel's viewers have been very generous with their support for John Carpay and his fight for the religious freedom of TWU's students. He's very grateful, and so am I.
Can I ask you to keep donating to this worthy (and expensive) human rights battle?
