Suicide bomber reported dead in Vienna: Shooting leaves at least one dead near synagogue

At least one person is dead and several others, including a police officer are injured after one or more attackers opened fire near a synagogue in Vienna, Austria.

As reported by Express.co.uk,

Footage posted on social media showed people scrambling for cover as shots can be heard in the background. A man can be heard shouting while sirens go off while a pedestrian can be seen cowering behind a bike rack. Flashing lights from what appear to be police vehicles can also be seen in the video. Austria's interior ministry said one person has died and several others, including a police officer, are injured.

According to The Sun, one attacker is believed to be dead:

The attacker is said to have blown himself up with a suicide belt, Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung reports.

...One of the alleged attackers has been arrested, according to the Austrian authorities.

However, it is believed that others could now be on the run.

UPDATE (November 2, 4:03 p.m ET) : 

Austria's interior minister is calling the shooting a terrorist attack, and has stated that several people were involved.
