Rebel News was in an Oshawa, Ont. courthouse last Monday to cover the latest chapter regarding an alleged illegal halal slaughterhouse operation in Bowmanville.

Mohsin Bhuiyan, a former Conservative candidate, was recently outed for allegedly selling halal-slaughtered poultry to the general public without having the necessary licenses and approvals to permit such transactions.

That was the crime. Next came the coverup.

Instead of being fined or uttering a mea culpa, Bhuiyan claimed he was the victim of “Islamophobia”.

Naturally, this was a narrative that certain Liberal MPs and numerous trained seals in the mainstream media promoted – all the while ignoring the facts of the matter.

Indeed, it turned out Bhuiyan is his own worst enemy when it comes to self-incrimination. While he claims his operation is merely a “hobby farm” and that the slaughtering of chickens and ducks is for his own family’s consumption, such is not the case. Rebel News is in possession of numerous social media postings that indicate Bhuiyan was slaughtering his birds to sell to the public.

Case in point: a Facebook Marketplace ad reads: “I have whole fresh meat chickens and duck available for pick up. They should average around 5 per pound. Pick up is 3548 Middle Road, Bowmanville.”

Oops…

But it would seem that in certain circles if one is caught illegally slaughtering animals and that person happens to be of the Muslim faith, this is not a crime but an example of “Islamophobia”. If you can imagine, TWO “anti-Islamophobia” rallies were staged in Clarington due to the alleged “harassment” Bhuiyan was enduring.

Reality check: Bhuiyan was caught red-handed selling halal-slaughtered poultry to the public. Where’s the Islamophobia?

Alas, aided and abetted by the usual idiots, Bhuiyan continues to play the victim card.

In August, the Durham Region version of Abdullah the Butcher was in an Oshawa courthouse seeking a peace bond against John Mutton. Mutton is the former mayor of Clarington (which incorporates Bowmanville) and was one of the whistleblowers regarding Bhuiyan’s operation.

For his part, Mutton has no idea why Bhuiyan is seeking a peace bond against him. Mutton is adamant that he has never uttered threats against Bhuiyan. Rather, Mutton’s only so-called “crime” was outing Bhuiyan’s illegal operation.

As well, Rebel News has never uncovered any evidence indicating that Mutton has ever acted in an illicit fashion against Bhuiyan.

Speaking of a lack of evidence, thanks to Bhuiyan’s bungling, a court proceeding last August turned out to be a joke, reminiscent of the classic Three Stooges short, “Disorder in the Court.”

That’s because Bhuiyan failed to provide disclosure to both the crown and Mutton! He seemed to believe that merely filing an application for a court appearance was good enough. And this dimwit was a Conservative candidate? (Yet another fumble by former Conservative leader Erin “Quisling” O’Toole…)

The judge went to great lengths to educate Bhuiyan that an application is not disclosure and that disclosure is required before a trial can proceed. So it was that Bhuiyan was given until Aug. 24 to come up with disclosure. A new trial was scheduled for Sept. 28.

Can you believe it? Last Monday, neither Mutton nor the Crown had received disclosure! Again.

And incredibly, the matter was not dismissed outright. Rather, a new trial is now scheduled for Dec. 17.

The question arises: is Mohsin Bhuiyan really that stupid – or is he pretending to be that stupid? Regardless, what a waste of court resources.

There are two sides to every story, of course. We scrummed Bhuiyan outside the court as he received a (unneeded) police escort to his swank Mercedes SUV. He refused to answer our questions.

In any event, we will be back in court on Dec. 17 to cover the latest chapter of this ongoing “Islamophobia” farce.
