Alberta's Wheatland County moves to demand more independence from federal government
Wheatland County has taken a step that will galvanize separatist supporters across rural Alberta.
County councillor Jason Wilson has moved and passed a unanimous motion which contained several demands and an ultimatum.
If the federal government blocks, hinders, or otherwise acts in bad faith in dealing with a more independent Alberta within Confederation, the motion demands a referendum on secession from Confederation in just two years time.
