CULLING THE CURE
The Aftermath of Canada's Ostrich Slaughter
CULLING THE CURE
The Aftermath of Canada's Ostrich Slaughter
Hundreds of ostriches were killed. Millions in taxpayer dollars were spent. Rebel News went looking for answers
Hundreds of healthy, untested ostriches were gunned down at a family farm in Edgewood, B.C., following a controversial order from the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
Rebel News was there — reporting from inside the farm, documenting the cull, covering the legal battles and questioning the officials responsible.
Now we've turned months of reporting into Culling The Cure, a full-length investigative documentary examining why the government spent millions of taxpayer dollars on the operation, and whether valuable scientific research was sacrificed along the way.
Our investigation took us from the Rocky Mountains to the Arizona desert, from New York City to Parliament Hill in Ottawa.
This story is bigger than ostriches. It's about science, government power and what happens when ordinary Canadians fight back.
The documentary is finished, and we're taking it to audiences across Canada. But producing and distributing an independent film isn't cheap.
We need your help to cover the costs of making this documentary and getting it in front of as many Canadians as possible.
