Former Google exec criticizes firm's “diversity exercises” that placed him in a group labeled “homos”

Google's former Head of International Relations Ross LaJeunesse recently published criticism of his previous employer, citing discrimination against “women, the LGBTQ community [and] colleagues of color” as the reason for losing his job.

According to LaJeunesse, Google ran exercises for employees which required them to list stereotypes about different groups:

At a different all-hands meeting, the entire policy team was separated into various rooms and told to participate in a “diversity exercise” that placed me in a group labeled “homos” while participants shouted out stereotypes such as “effeminate” and “promiscuous.”
