A judge will soon determine the results of a case against Church in the Vine pastors Tracy and Rodney Fortin after they barred Alberta Health Services inspectors from entering their church.

Pastor Tracy Fortin and the church are convicted of breaching Section 71 of the Alberta Public Health Act by obstructing an inspector.

Tracy admitted during trial that she prevented a health inspector from disrupting Sunday worship services to inspect for compliance with Alberta government COVID-19 restrictions on places of worship.

She is now subject to a fine of up to $100,000 for a first offence and $500,000 for a subsequent offence.

Although Tracy is being represented by a top-notch lawyer at no cost to her, the fight to protect their worship services from government overreach is far from over.
