Why we’re sending two reporters to Little Havana in Miami

I want Alexa and Efron to go to the heart of Little Havana in Miami and talk with the exiled Venezuelans who are now brimming with joy and hope for their homeland, now that the tyrant has been removed.

As I write this, our journalists Alexa Lavoie and Efron Monsanto are on their way to Miami to cover the stunning news of the U.S. midnight raid that snatched Venezuela’s dictator, Nicolas Maduro, right out of his presidential palace.

I want Alexa and Efron to go to the heart of Little Havana in Miami and talk with the exiled Venezuelans who are now brimming with joy and hope for their homeland, now that the tyrant has been removed. And it’s not just Venezuelans: Venezuela was an essential source of oil for the Communist regime in Cuba, and an important toe-hold for Russia, China and even Iran.

In one fell swoop — in a nearly bloodless raid — Trump decapitated the regime and has paved the way for freedom and democracy to expand throughout Latin America.

This raid will continue to ripple throughout the region, and the world. Alexa and Efron should be landing any time now and starting their reports — I get the feeling they’re going to be up really late tonight, as the Venezuelans and Cubans celebrate into the wee hours!

By the way, don’t be persuaded by those who say this was an illegal raid. Every international election observer concluded that Maduro stole the last vote. Those talking about “international law” are simply wrong — a cartel boss doesn’t suddenly get immunity because he rigs an election.

I see all sorts of Canadian journalists and politicians condemning the raid, even as Venezuelans both in Venezuela and around the world are in triumphant joy. I know whose side I’m on! Please help me get the word out from the point of view of ordinary Venezuelans who are thrilled to have some hope and freedom again.

If you can help me cover the cost of their economy-class airfare, please do by clicking here (thanks).

And make sure to visit the website www.VenezuelaIsFree.com to get the latest from Alexa and Efron — they’ll be posting videos there tonight and tomorrow, and maybe longer!

Canada is way too chummy with dictators, whether it’s Cuba, the ayatollahs of Iran or Communist China. It’s amazing to watch Trump use the military might of the United States to actually liberate a country without a war. But enough from me: let’s hear from the Venezuelans directly.

Please visit www.VenezuelaIsFree.com to hear from the exile community in Miami directly. And if you can help us cover the $3,000 or so this journalistic mission will cost us, please do — you can chip in right from that same website. (Thanks.)

Help Fund Our Reporting on the Liberation of Venezuela

Rebel News is sending two journalists to fly down to cover this story from the point of view of the Venezuelan exiles living in Miami. They were surprised by this miraculous removal of the tyrant, someone who had haunted them and until now seemed impossible to remove. But after this morning’s surgical strike, everything feels possible again to them.

If you think it’s important to hear the other side of the story — directly from the mouths of people who had to flee Maduro’s atrocities — please consider chipping in a few dollars to cover the costs of our economy-class airfare to Miami, and our modest hotel.

Between the two of us, we expect our expenses to be $3,000. Unlike the CBC — who loved Maduro, and hate Trump — we get no government money; we’re 100% viewer-supported!

I pity my TV-watching senior friends. All they know is what the regime media tells them.

Trump is amazing. Love what he has done for the Venezuelans. I can see this happening eventually to evil rulers of Iran. I always tell people that I like Trump and usually they ask me why. Now I can add this to my list.

Brief outline of the referred to Monroe Doctrine:

Monroe Doctrine, (December 2, 1823), cornerstone of U.S. foreign policy enunciated by Pres. James Monroe in his annual message to Congress. Declaring that the Old World and New World had different systems and must remain distinct spheres, Monroe made four basic points: (1) the United States would not interfere in the internal affairs of or the wars between European powers; (2) the United States recognized and would not interfere with existing colonies and dependencies in the Western Hemisphere; (3) the Western Hemisphere was closed to future colonization; and (4) any attempt by a European power to oppress or control any nation in the Western Hemisphere would be viewed as a hostile act against the United States….

The liberation of Venezuela was achieved by what has become the trademark of the Trump administration’s foreign military operations: audacity, speed and surgical precision. But there is a lot of work that needs to be done: there are the second-tier administrators in the Maduro regime who still occupy powerful positions and control significant assets who need to be uprooted. It’s also certain that Cuban agents, as well as Russian, Chinese and Iranian counterparts are honeycombed throughout the Venezuelan government intelligence, security and police apparatus – it is imperative that they are dealt with as well.
