#BoycottTims: The campaign is just getting started
I love Tim Hortons. But yesterday I found out they didn't like me back
It all started when Tim Hortons bowed to pressure from foreign anti-pipeline lobbyists to pull a soft-focus Enbridge commercial from its in-store advertising. Tim Hortons agreed.
The people who pressured Tim Hortons don't even live in Canada, and their supporters here aren't the type of people who tend to be regular Tim Hortons customers.
The good news is that when they found out about Tim Hortons' attitude towards the energy industry, ordinary Canadians took to social media to protest.
TheRebel.media set up a petition site at BoycottTims.com, and created a radio ad, too. Rogers Radio refused to take it.
That's OK.
Average people -- not professional activists - held a protest outside a Calgary Tim Hortons this afternoon. We'll have video up about that shortly.
This is just the beginning.

I’ve tried closing all windows and logging directly into the website, but whatever I do, it just starts saving and keeps on saving… it won’t finish. Maybe my computer doesn’t have enough band width, I don’t know. I tried, but I just couldn’t complete the process. Could some old, bald, half blind fat guy out there sign twice, once for me? Thanks.

The recent demise of Target is a good example of a corporation that, thought they could operate in Canada, without providing the same quality of products, as offered in the US. They found out differently. Tim’s response to the blackmail petition is now finding out that Canadians will not be toyed with.

They own Burger King and bought Tim Hortons so they could move their head office to Canada and avoid the higher corporation tax rate in the USA.
3GCapital are capitalist globalists. They are just plain bad. Ask some franchise owners how they are enjoying their new masters. If there is enough outcry here they would probably sell off the Tim Hortons division. Here’s hoping. -
