Trudeau gov't votes for United Nations anti-Israel resolution supported by North Korea, Syria
For the second time in two years, the Trudeau government has voted in support of a United Nations anti-Israel motion.
Within the resolution, Canada voted to resolve:
Affirming the right of all States in the region to live in peace within secure and internationally recognized borders,
1. Reaffirms the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, including the right to their independent State of Palestine;
2. Urges all States and the specialized agencies and organizations of the United Nations system to continue to support and assist the Palestinian people in the early realization of their right to self-determination.
The full text of the resolution is available here.
Today, for the 2nd time in 2 years, the Trudeau govt voted at the U.N. w/ Syria & North Korea in support of a one-sided anti-Israel resolution. The only really surprising thing about it are those here at home who say they are surprised by it.
