On a recent episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Breitbart's technology reporter Allum Bokhari gave his thoughts on the massive tech censorship of a viral video that showed a group of doctors giving a press conference at Capitol Hill.
The doctors, part of a group called America's Frontline Doctors, were holding what they called a "white coat summit" that was covered by Breitbart and gained traction online after being posted to YouTube.
Later in the day, the same video that had recorded 17 million views on Facebook — including being shared by US President Donald Trump and his son, Donald Trump Jr. on Twitter — had vanished from social media after it was pulled because of alleged COVID-19 misinformation. Trump Jr. even received a brief stint in "Twitter Jail," as his account was suspended for sharing the video.
Allum shared his thoughts on the idea that this very newsworthy video was taken down:
“The idea that Facebook has decided that it's going to be the arbiter of truth on this rapidly evolving pandemic ... Facebook has decided it knows the absolute truth and they're [going to] shut down actual front line doctors, and shut down just the press conference. Not even an endorsement of their views, just coverage of their views.”
