Firearms enthusiasts out in full force at Canada's largest gun show
To paraphrase Mark Twain, “Rumours of the demise of the Canadian gun community are greatly exaggerated.” TACCOM gun show was a jampacked success!
TACCOM, a.k.a., the Tactical and Competitive Shooting Sports Show, was back at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ont. last weekend. And even though the Canadian gun-owning community is seemingly forever under attack by the federal Liberals (for political rather than practical reasons, of course), thousands of firearm enthusiasts packed the International Centre to check out the latest gun offerings. (Well, at least those firearms that haven’t been placed on the prohibited list, that is.)
And get this: apparently, a big driver for the renewed interest in firearms has a lot to do with spiking crime waves in many parts of Canada. Canadians realize that with violent home invasions on the rise, they have to do whatever it takes to protect their property and the lives of their family members. (Golly, do you think our revolving door justice system – which facilitates the du rigueur release of violent offenders back into society – has something to do with this gruesome new reality in our once great dominion?)
Rebel News dropped by to take a tour of the show courtesy of TACCOM organizer Fred Pellegrino. We checked out the latest firearms on display and spoke with members of Canada’s National Firearms Association and the Canadian Coalition for Firearm Rights regarding ongoing legal action against the Liberals’ gun grab.
It should be noted that despite the war on law-abiding gun owners by the federal government, thankfully, there’s a dearth of police forces that are willing to take part in such a useless virtue signaling exercise. After all, everyone – including the Public Safety Minister – knows that attacking lawful Canadian gun owners will have zero effect on reducing gun crimes carried out by gangbangers armed with illegal handguns.
