Ezra Levant was a guest recently on Stephen LeDrew's Three Minute Interview to discuss the subject of free speech in Canada, and whether or not it was under attack.
LeDrew thought Ezra was the perfect guest to discuss such a topic, given the nature of Rebel News. Ezra told LeDrew how he thought what was socially acceptable free speech was tightening, and that ideas are less free to compete:
You know, the bandwidth of acceptable opinion is narrowing. We changed our motto at Rebel News about a year ago, it's “telling the other side of the story” which is a reminder that hey, it's OK to tell the other side of the story, it's OK that there is another side of the story.
It used to be [taught that there was] the back-and-forth, the cut-and-thrust, thesis, antithesis. Let truth and falsehood grapple, and maybe we come up with a better way.
