PETITION: Get ArriveCan Accountability

Goal: 50,000 signatures

Despite being promoted under the guise of keeping Canadians safe, the government-mandated ArriveCan surveillance tracking app was yet another failed response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and an unconstitutional seizure of personal information, which should have been protected under section 8 of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Rebel News fought back against the ArriveCan app while the pandemic mandates were in place, by supporting our friends at The Democracy Fund who fought the app in the courts, and by reporting on the enormous fines given to Canadians who refused to use, or misused, the app.

Now Rebel News is helping to expose the outrageous corruption between the government and the contractors who got rich off the ArriveCan scam.

As it turns out, the “IT staffing firm” GC Strategies received approximately $20 million out of the $54 million of taxpayer funds spent on the app. The firm has only two employees, Darren Anthony and Kristian Firth, who, according to the Office of the Procurement Ombudsman, never even did any work.

The Auditor General has issued a report. The RCMP is investigating. The specter of criminal charges for bribery and fraud has been raised.

Rebel News is closely covering the attempts to hold these contractors accountable, and to get answers for Canadians.

If you are outraged and agree that taxpayers deserve answers, please sign the petition on this page to demand accountability from the federal government.
