After many years of litigation, all the way up to the Supreme Court of Canada… the bigots won.
Law Societies in Canada now have the legal right to blacklist Christian students who graduate from the proposed law school at Trinity Western University (TWU).
Law Societies — the regulatory bodies that decide who can and can’t practice law in any given province — can now discriminate against any lawyer in the future simply based on the fact that they attended TWU and signed that school’s student code of conduct, which requires students to live a Christian life while on campus.
It’s blatant anti-Christian discrimination. John Carpay of the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedom, the public interest law firm that helped fight the battle for TWU, joined me to discuss this most outrageous court ruling.
