Coming soon? “Virtual citizenship” ceremonies mentioned in gov't Immigration email
How concerned were you when the federal government announced that you could take the oath of citizenship behind a niqab?
Many Canadians fought against this change as they said it open the doors to fraud and abuse of process.
That may be just have been a stepping stone, as sources within the Department of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship have just told Rebel News that citizenship ceremonies are moving online.
Department officials allegedly called this the “new normal.”
The source, who has been granted anonymity, said that the department is considering to move the sacred ceremony online “indefinitely.”
