HIRING: Weekend Junior Producer (Toronto)

Rebel News is seeking a candidate with a knack for storytelling and a team player to join our growing crew as a camera operator and video editor to produce videos with our Toronto based journalists on off-hours including Saturdays and Sundays.

A successful candidate will have experience filming in the field, be available on weekends and be familiar with editing programs, preferably the Adobe suite. An ideal candidate will be familiar with Rebel News and have a strong grasp of Canadian, conservative politics and freedom and have a driver's license.

This position must be filled by someone who lives in Toronto or the GTA and preferably owns a suitable car for commuting.

Responsibilities:

  • Video editing.
  • Production assistance (camera).
  • Graphic design and 3d animation skills are an asset.

Qualifications:

  • Editing skills with a demonstrable portfolio of video work. 
  • Familiarity and experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
  • Must be detail-oriented and well-organized.
  • Ability to work independently. 
  • Familiarity with YouTube is an asset.
  • French language proficiency is an asset.

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Occasional evening and weekend work required.
  • Effectively able to work with a remote team.

Job type:

Part-time (can be made into full-time as well.)

Salary:

Compensation commensurate with experience. Full-time staff receive health benefits after passing a three-month probation period.
