Canada's home grown press freedom is suffering: Andrew Lawton with Ezra Levant
On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, True North's Andrew Lawton called in to talk about this year's Media Freedom Conference.
Here's a bit of what Andrew had to say:
“Virtual conferences really have the one thing to them that you don't really get the news value out of — the official program.
“Whenever I've been at an actual event or summit, the real stories are the people you talk to, the things you overhear, the things you see, or as we've learned first hand from last year, the process of being excluded from certain things.
“When I got my note from the foreign office last week that I had been accredited, it really isn't that big a deal when all the accreditation is ‘Here's a link to log on from your computer’.”
