“All [Don Cherry] needed to do is fix it”: Ron MacLean on “you people” and cancel culture

Third time lucky: former Coach’s Corner sidekick Ron MacLean has proven to be an elusive interviewee over the last several weeks.

We’ve endured everything from being physically assaulted by the York Regional Police Service to being outright ignored by MacLean’s handlers at Rogers Communications (who promised to facilitate an interview with MacLean... only to break their promise at crunch time.)

But at a recent Rogers Hometown Hockey taping in Ottawa, things changed.

When Ottawa Police failed to silence Rebel News, MacLean finally acquiesced to an interview.

And so it is that MacLean weighs in on the firing of Don Cherry; why it is we now live in what’s been accurately called “Cancel Culture”; and hey, what’s the deal with those plummeting ratings at Hockey Night in Canada since the unceremonious axing of Grapes...?
