EXCLUSIVE: RCMP refer case against senior Trudeau staffer to prosecutors

Following an investigation into a Meadow Lake assault, RCMP have forwarded the file against Terry Guillon to Crown prosecutors.

Trudeau operative Terry Guillon is the Prime Minister's Lead Media Advance manager and former Head of the Parliamentary Press Gallery who brazenly body-checked a Rebel journalist at a press conference in Saskatchewan earlier this year.

The likelihood of criminal charges against a member of Trudeau’s inner circle is low, given that Trudeau’s hand-picked Attorney General, David Lametti, was specifically chosen as Trudeau’s man to let SNC-Lavalin off the hook, after Wilson-Raybould defied Trudeau and proceeded with its prosecution.

Lametti has consistently said that he’s still considering giving SNC-Lavalin an exemption from the criminal law, despite the damage that has done and would do to the rule of law and independence of the judiciary.

Guillon’s conduct of intimidating, following, and assaulting a reporter at the Indigenous conference in Meadow Lake Saskatchewan does not seem to have been met by any punishment from Justin Trudeau. Normally it would be uncouth for Trudeau’s Head of Media Relations to be in physical altercations with a journalist, however it seems to be in line with Trudeau’s expectations for subduing unapproved media.

Physical altercations with independent journalists is only one tool in Trudeau’s media gagging toolbox. In late June, a Trudeau staffer accidentally let slip that the PMO and the Press Gallery had explicitly colluded to ensure both myself and my colleagues would be barred from press events.

That not having worked in Meadow Lake – Gullion resorted to physical intimidation.
