URGENT PETITION: Why does Mark Carney want to make it illegal to use cash?
Hidden in Mark Carney’s 140-page Bill C-2 — supposedly about border security — is a shocking clause that would ban cash transactions over $10,000 for businesses, professionals, and even charities.
Section 136 of the bill makes it a criminal offence to accept such payments in cash — not just for criminals or smugglers, but for doctors, lawyers, churches, and everyday citizens. It has nothing to do with border security. So why is it in the bill?
Mark Carney, former governor of the Bank of Canada and Bank of England, has long pushed for central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) — trackable, programmable digital money. This law is a clear step toward that agenda.
The Bank of Canada admits it’s preparing a CBDC. If cash is banned, your financial privacy disappears. CBDCs can be monitored and even “turned off” — preventing you from buying things the government disapproves of, from fuel to political donations.
Trudeau has already frozen bank accounts of political opponents. Imagine that power hardwired into the money system itself.
This bill isn’t about stopping crime — it’s about controlling Canadians.
Stop the war on cash. Sign the petition and share it now.
