Plus, Trudeau and his Liberal cabinet ministers affirmed on Thursday that Canada would uphold an International Criminal Court arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
And finally, Greenpeace protesters were arrested outside of Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre's official residence in Ottawa, with a pair locking themselves to a replica oil pumpjack placed in the driveway.

Robin Naismith commented 2024-11-23 00:45:53 -0500Yes,very true indeed Bruce and we need to get rid of the Two-teir policing in Canada because that’s not the way that Law enforcement is suppose to act or do their jobs and they need to be reminded of that

Ruth Bard commented 2024-11-22 23:10:36 -0500“Xmas” is not controversial. It’s centuries-old shorthand for Christmas, as “X” indicates the Cross, which stands for Christ. When you see “Xmas” read “Christmas.”

Bruce Atchison commented 2024-11-22 16:39:12 -0500This two-tier policing reminds me of how the Nazis policed rioters and storm troopers. Now we have Middle Eastern Nazis being favoured by the police but pro-Israel protesters are arrested. The next election can’t come too soon for me.

Robin Naismith commented 2024-11-22 14:59:09 -0500Well Gwynneth, it seems that some of the new peoples coming into Canada don’t have to pledge or respect Canadian rules or laws any more. You just have to look at all these different Terrorist protesters i.e. Hamas & Palestinians. Not to mention our own government leaders aren’t trust worthy any more because a lot of them are Law breakers & Teasononous Scum too

Gwynneth Gourley commented 2024-11-22 13:13:16 -0500A few years ago, I attended a Canadian Citizenship ceremony
downtown Calgary. It consisted of a large room of people from other
countries becoming Canadian Citizens. They were ALL asked at the
same time to repeat: “The Oath of Citizenship”
It is an oath to an institution that symbolizes our system of government, a democratic constitutional monarchy.
It was noticeable at the time that many of those people, didn’t even
move their lips, let alone say anything meaningful.
After it was over and people were leaving, I will never forget one
woman who was so proud that she was now “half Canadian”!
It was then I realized that to become a “Canadian” you don’t have to
relinquish any previous citizenship.
I swear “or affirm”
That I will be faithful
And bear true allegiance
To His Majesty
King Charles the Third
King of Canada
His Heirs and Successors “So help me God”.
And that I will faithfully observe
The laws of Canada
Including the Constitution
Which recognizes and affirms
The Aboriginal and treaty rights of
First Nations, Inuit and MĂ©tis peoples
And fulfil my duties
As a Canadian citizen.
The Oath of Allegiance was implemented to acknowledge the
supremacy of the reigning monarch of Canada; Professor Yan
Campagnolo stated, “an oath to the King is not an oath to the
person who wears the Crown at a given time; rather, it is an oath
to an institution that symbolizes our system of government, a
democratic constitutional monarchy. An oath to the King is
therefore an oath to our system of government and homeland, not an
oath to a foreign monarch.”10 Along that line, in the military context,
specifically, the King is the highest authority in the Canadian Armed Forces.1213 The giving of faithfulness to the monarch in that way is a
manifestation of a key responsibility central to the Canadian system
of government14 and serves to “remind individuals taking it of the
serious obligations and responsibilities that he or she is
assuming.”15
However…….
The BIBLE says, you cannot serve TWO MASTERS!
“No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both …
‎ Matthew 6:24 King James Version (KJV) ·
What does Matthew 6 verse 24 mean?
Jesus shares an important principle. Just as a servant only has one master whom he serves, so too, does our heart. No one can serve two masters (v 24). Our heart obeys only one master at a time. Whenever a servant or a heart has two masters giving him orders, he will only be able to follow one of them. One’s loyalties must be undivided.
What are the consequences of serving two masters?
Jesus said, “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other…” (Matthew 6:24 a). The first thing to notice about this Scripture: Jesus wants to be your master!8 Nov 2015
In the King James Version of the Bible the text reads: No man can serve two masters: for either he. will hate the one, and love the other; or else. he will hold to the one, and despise the other.
What does the servant of two masters mean?
idiom. : to give equal support to two different causes, groups, etc. You cannot serve two masters.31 July 2024
What does “two master” mean?
to be loyal to two opposing principles, beliefs, or organizations.
Dual/triple citizenship is not only impossible but it is unfair to TRUE Canadians, those born in Canada with only one citizenship.
For example, I recently found out that a friend of mine, is not only Canadian but American AND British. This friend is not only able to work in Canada BUT in both the USA and Britian with no problem. I can’t!
Over the years, it has been reported that many of these “half Canadians” have traveled to and/or continue to live in their original country of “citizenship”. Are they not a 100% citizen of that country when they are there?
But wait….when they get into trouble and need help they “expect” Canada to rescue them. How convenient for them to claim Canadian Citizenship when it is to their advantage. And of course, we, the 100% Canadians go out of our way to do so.
Take for example what’s happening in the news today.
Yes, the war between Israel and Gaza (Hamas) is terrible! However, it was Hamas (the Palestinians elected) that started it. Israel certainly must have the right to protect themselves. It has become very clear that Hamas wants to eradicate Israel – they have said as much!
BUT NOTE! Canada has always been a friend/ally of Israel!
Yet the overwhelming pro-Palestinian/Hamas support in Canada is disturbing. They certainly do not care/understand what “friend/ally” of Israel is. Where exactly is their LOYALTY?
I would venture to say that the majority of those supporters/protesters are only “half Canadian”!
I wonder…. If they really had to choose, would they choose Canada?
My friend didn’t. When I asked her if she had to choose one which would it be? She immediately said the USA because that is where her money is.
Becoming a Canadian Citizen should mean that you become Canadian! Not French Canadian, Chinese Canadian, Palestinian Canadian, Pakistani Canadian, German Canadian, etc….. We should ALL BE JUST Canadian.
