Bunny for Billions? No proof of Indigenous identity required for billions in contracts
Michen Coté of the Algonquin Anishinabeg Nation Tribal Council encountered this shocking loophole when trying to register to be a part of the Indigenous Business Directory. Coté asked for guidance in finalizing his proof of status, only to be told he 'Can just upload any document … It can be a picture of a bunny.'
