Bernhard Jatzeck commented 2026-08-22 10:56:24 -0400Bruce, Carney just shut down the trade talks with the Americans. Personally, I don’t think he was serious in negotiating a deal with Trump. (Seems to be a Liberal tradition…..) In hockey terms, Carney was simply ragging the puck or, if it was football, he made a bunch of useless plays simply to run out the clock.
And the buy-elections are just around the corner. To paraphrase a line spoken by Richard Harris’s character in the movie “Major Dundee”, “Isn’t that a coincidence?”
We’d best be prepared to be bombarded with a lot of “orange man bad” advertising. -
